Women's Meditation Circle
The CU Wellness Women's Meditation Circle meet Mondays from 12:00-12:50 p.m. in146 Myron Taylor Hall. See the schedule for the current dates, topics, directions, and resources. At each bi-weekly meeting, we sample a taped meditation $ then we discuss, over a brown bag lunch, meditations responsive to women's bodies and experiences. We also explore themes from Meditation Secrets for Women by Camille Maurine and Lorin Roche.
No prior meditation experience is necessary to participate.
This series, founded in April 2005, is free and open to women in the Cornell & Ithaca community. This interfaith, multiracial circle is made up of primarily Cornell staff members, but faculty, students, alumni, and community members do attend and are always welcome. We are a group of 70+ women and use a come-as-you-are when-you-can format so about 8 of us (new and returning members) make it to each meeting. No RSVP necessary. This group is sponsored by CU Wellness.
To sign up for the circle's monthly e-letter, to ask questions about the series, or to request disability accommodation, feel free to contact Anneliese Truame.
