Beginner Triathlon Training Class
Ever wanted to complete a triathlon, but never thought you could? Join this class for the instruction and motivation necessary to have a fun experience in your first tri! This class is geared towards beginner triathletes. You must be able to run/walk, bike, and swim prior to starting the class. It is highly recommended that you have been exercising at least 3x/wk for 30 minutes or more prior to the start of this class. Class begins Tuesday, February 12, 10:00am. Meet in Barton Hall for the first class. This class will meet every Tuesday at 10:00am and Friday at 10:00 am for practices. Location of classes is included in the training program that will be sent to registrants before the 1st class meeting. Class ends May 2.
This class will prepare you to complete the "Tri for the Y"* held the first Sunday in May.
*The YMCA triathlon consists of a 1/4 mile (400 yard) swim, followed by a 15.7 mile bike, and a 4.7 mile run.
